Well, the 58 days is up. It's time to look over the last 58 days and see if the 58 day seed covenant worked. Here is a brief summary of the things that happened:

I did not receive what I specifically asked for. I asked for $3,340.30 at the beginning of the covenant, and did not receive it. In fact, my loan amount increased.

I entered 5 surveys with a chance to win $1,000 dollars but did not win any of them.

I started having car trouble.

I got a letter from my bank saying my account was overdrawn, and was charged 21 dollars.

I started having severe pain in my mouth, and I needed to see a dentist. I decided not to, so it wouldn't interfere with the 58 day seed covenant.

I entered a survey to win a $25,000 "new look," but did not win.

No one ever just "walked up to me and handed me money," but I did find a quarter on the floor at a restaurant.

I got $832.86 back on my tax return.

So, does Mike Murdock's 58 day seed covenant really work? You decide.

Evening: The money came in - yes! I got my income tax return, and I am $832.86 richer. Now I can pay the company the rest of the money I owe, which is $113. I'm also going to pay them 35 dollars to put the game on a CD and mail it to me. That will bring my 832.86 to 684. 86. Then I'll have to decide what to do with the 684. I need to see a dentist really bad, but I also want to pay something on my college loan. What to do, what to do.

I'm in the final 10 days of the covenant. The "home stretch" if you will. The closer I get to day 58, the bigger the miracle will be. $3,400 dollars is nothing to God. He could easily have a millionaire just write me out a check. I read an article about a guy who found $2,000 dollars in a shirt that he bought at a thrift store. That could happen to me. God can just open up the windows of heaven and provide the money that I need to be debt free. Nothing is too difficult for God.

Afternooon: I found a quarter today. If I apply it to my debt, that will bring the total to $3,353.68.

Night: I need to see a dentist. I have been having severe pain in my mouth, so much that I can't sleep at night and I have to take pain reliever. There are only 18 days left, though, so I'm going to try and wait until the 58 days is up to I see a dentist. So I'm taking one on the chin (or in this case the tooth) for Mike Murdock!

Morning: There are 3 weeks left in the 58 day seed covenant. For the loan to be paid off by then, I will need to receive at least $1,118.00 each week. I believe God is in the miracle business.

Afternoon: I just got a letter from my bank. It seems when I sent that 212 dollars to the company that's making my game, I didn't have that much in my account. Someone must've cashed one of my checks a little later than I thought. I went over by 9 dollars, and the bank charged me 21 dollars for going over, so my current balance is now -30 dollars. Come on, tax return, I could really use you right about now.

Night: Ah, mothers. Aren't they great? I told mine my problem and she wrote me a check for 30 dollars to deposit in my account. Now I can focus on getting the $3,353.93 cleared up.

The other day I was driving through an intersection, when I noticed a suburban coming down the road just a little too fast for my comfort. Apparantly, the red light meant nothing to the driver, and she just plowed through the intersection, giving me a dirty look as she passed by. Fortunately, I was able to stop before my tiny little vehicle became a hood-ornament for her great big suburban.

The company that I'm paying to make my game has finished it, and they want their money. There's only one problem. I don't have it. I owe them 325 dollars, but I only have 212 in my checking account. I emailed them and told them I would send them what I have, and I'll have to see what they say to that. Now I just pray that my income tax return comes in soon.

Got a reply from the company and they were understanding of my situation. Thank goodness. I went ahead and paid them 212 dollars, so I now have about 2 dollars left in my bank account. That is the lowest it's been in a long time.

Today marks the halfway point between the 58 days that this miracle takes place. As I look back and asess the last 29 days I would say that there were many opportunities that I could've gotten a large amount of money, specifically $1,000, but didn't. I also have to admit that the amount on my loan has increased slightly, and that I've been having more car trouble lately than I had before I started the 58 day seed covenant. However, I know that there are still 29 days to go, and that's plenty of time for God to come through.

The other day I got a CD of Joni Lam narrating her book Healing Waters. I was told on the phone that I would be sent a book by Mike Murdock.

Evening. The windshield wiper on my vehicle broke and I have to replace it with a new one.

Last night I saw a program on TV about Casino’s and the so-called “whales” that frequent them. Whales are people that gamble huge amounts and are given special treatment by the Casinos. One whale ordered two 1,500 dollar bottles of wine and used it in his cereal like it was milk. The narrator called it a $3,000 dollar breakfast. A billionaire from Europe would come and place $25,000 bets like it was nothing. I watched a guy lose 120,000 dollars playing one game. To me, it’s excruciating to watch. Just a small fraction of that money would be a miracle for me, and these guys lose it on one roll of the dice and it’s nothing to them.

Night. I took part in another Taco Bell survey but did not win the $1,000.

My mom got sick today and I had to take her to After Care, sort of like an emergency room. We couldn’t go to church because we spent nearly 4 hours in the waiting room. She had to pay some of the cost upfront, and she’ll be billed for the rest later. She’ll also be paying for the medicine they prescribed her. It’s another bill that my mom will have to pay.

I stopped at Taco Bell today and took the survey that tells you at the end whether or not you won the $1,000 dollars. Unfortunately, I did not. That’s the third one I’ve taken. During the next 38 days I’ll keep taking the survey, hoping to win $1,000 dollars. If I won 3 surveys my loan would be almost completely paid off.

Afternoon. I just got a letter from the company that is carrying my loan. Because I dropped one of my classes, my enrollment status changed from full-time to part-time, so my loan deferment has been changed. Also, interested has accrued on my loan, and the amount I owe has increased to $3,353.93.

Yesterday my income tax return was sent back to me because I had forgotten to include my W-2 form so I had to put that in and send it back. That means it’s going to be a bit longer before I get that check in the mail.

My mom has been having a lot of bad luck financially lately. She found out that she has to pay a lot of money back on her taxes, and some of the places she owes money to are saying that she didn’t make payments, when she says she did.

I went to one of my mom’s coworker’s house today to help him get his printer fixed. I didn’t get it fixed, but he gave me 10 dollars for gas money for my trouble.

Evening. I just sent 24 dollars to someone that I asked to record some French vocabulary words for an educational computer game that I’m making. In the game, there will be a female voice speaking French, and I needed to hire someone to provide the voice files for me. I paid the woman 25 Canadian Dollars (because she was in Canada) using paypal. The amount is equal to 20.46 USD.

I took part in a Taco Bell survey again, hoping to win $1,000 dollars. At the end of the survey I was told that I was not a winner. Too bad. Still 40 days to go though.

Occasionally I have been hearing the grinding sound when I try to start my vehicle. If it keeps up, I will have to take it to a mechanic. Hopefully, God will honor my donation and prevent that from happening.

I have been making sure to go out a lot to give someone the opportunity to just walk up to me and give me money. So far it hasn’t happened.

Evening. Got another letter from Daystar thanking me for the contribution to their network. I see that my money went straight to them and not to Mike Murdock. Still, what made me give the money was Murdock’s story about his mother getting a 26,000 debt taken away within 58 days of donating to Murdock. I need my debt paid off, and if Murdock told the story on that telecast, he meant that it could happen to those who give to Daystar as well. I’m considering contacting them and asking for some kind of written acknowledgement that this is to get my $3,340.30 loan paid off.

This morning when I got in my vehicle to go to church, I heard a terrible sound when I turned the ignition. It was a high-pitched grounding noise, similar to when someone tries to start a car that is already on. That was the first time I’ve ever had that happen to me since buying the vehicle, five months ago. I turned the ignition off, then a few minutes later, started it again and it started ok. I hope I don’t end up having to get a new ignition. I want that 58 dollars to keep these things from happening to me.

Prayer: Good morning, Lord. I thank you for this beautiful day and I pray that you bless it and keep me safe. I pray that you lead me and guide me in everything I do. I pray that you take the 58 dollar seed that I’ve given Mike Murdock and multiply it to pay off my $3,340.30 loan. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Afternoon. I got two letters from daystar today. That’s who Murdock was soliciting donations for, and that’s where my 58 dollars went. Not to Mike Murdock's Ministry. I’m still going to continue on with the journal, because I’m sure the 58 day seed covenant still applies. Mike Murdock told a story about how his mom sent Murdock 58 dollars and got a $26,000 medical bill paid off. That’s why I sent my 58 dollars – I gotta get my loan paid off too, and if it worked for her, it will work for me. I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get something mentioning my need to get the loan paid off though. It did say that a book from Joni, Healing Waters, would be sent to me as soon as it gets off backorder. The woman on the phone didn’t mention anything about a book from Joni. She said I’d be getting a book by Mike Murdock. I wonder if I’ll get something both from Daystar and Mike Murdock. That would be nice.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for your many blessings. I come to you in the name of Jesus asking that you multiply my 58 dollar seed and use it to pay off my $3,340.30 loan. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Morning. I got a call back from the college about my being withdrawn from classes. They said if I go ahead and get my shot today they will let me back in. Thank goodness.

1:44 pm. Heading out to get my shot.

3:35 pm. On the way home, I decided to stop at Taco Bell. When I got home I noticed the back of my receipt said I could take a survey and win $1,000. Well, I know I’m supposed to have a harvest coming, so I decided to take the survey. It tells you at the end of the survey if you were the winner. Unfortunately I was not a winner. If God is going to send some money my way, it will have to be some other way. But, hey, there’s still 54 days left.

Prayer: Lord I come to you in the name of Jesus, thanking you for your many blessings. I thank you that you have provided all of my needs to this day. I pray Lord that you will take the 58 dollars that I have given Mike Murdock and use it to pay off my $3,340.30 debt. Your word says “With God, all things are possible.” I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

It is 4:07 in the afternoon, and I just got a letter from my college saying that I have been “administratively withdrawn” from my classes for not providing immunization records. This is a shock to me. I called the number it gave to find out about this, but I got a machine and had to leave a message. If I’m withdrawn from these classes, that means I will have to pay back the Pell grant that I got, which was well over $1,000 dollars. I don’t want to do that. In fact, I can’t. I don’t have that money.I told my mom and she said I will be able to provide them with my records and get it taken care of. I hope she’s right. She gave me my records and I put them in a safe place. Tomorrow I will go to the college and see if I can get it straightened out.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for your goodness, and I thank you for everything you’ve done in my life. I have entered into this 58 day covenant with Mike Murdock, and I have given 58 dollars as a seed. I pray that you will multiply it and pay off my student loan of $3,340.30. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Today I filed my income tax. By my calculations, I expect to get $832 back. I don’t know how long it will take for it to get here, but I’ll write about it in my journal when it does.

I have to admit, I’ve been having good feelings today. I think the idea of getting a loan paid off miraculously is exciting. Even though I admit I’m skeptical about the 58 day seed, I have entertained thoughts of people just walking up to me and giving me money. It feels good to think that something that has been a burden for years is going to be lifted off of you in such a short amount of time. I wonder how long these feelings will last?

I just got off the phone with Mike Murdock’s ministry after watching him on Daystar. I have just donated 58 dollars to his ministry. Why, you might ask, would any thinking person do a thing like that? Well, the purpose of my donating the 58 dollars is to prove whether or not Mike Murdock’s 58 days seed covenant really works. I am keeping my donation a secret, and keeping this journal to record what happens. If someone gives me money for no apparent reason, I will record it in this journal. If something unexpected happens causing me to lose money, I’ll write about that too. By the end of this journal you will know if I'm heaven's latest recipient of a miracle, or if I've fallen for a cheap gimmick.

If you're not familiar with the 58 day seed covenant here's how it works: Send Mike Murdock 58 dollars and tell him what you want. Got debt? Need healing? Looking for a husband? A Wife? Whatever it is, send Mike Murdock 58 dollars, tell him what you want from God, and within 58 days you'll have it.

So what do I want from God? I specifically told the woman on the phone that I want to pay off a loan in the amount of $3,340.30 from when I was a student at a Christian University, and I want it paid off in 58 days, according to the 58 day seed covenant. “Ok,” she said. Great! I can’t wait. I have had this burden on my back for years, and I would love to get rid of it.

Oh yeah, did I mention I don’t have a job? Hey, it’s a miracle I’m hoping for - would it really be a miracle if I just paid it off by working and making the minimum payments? Besides, by making the minimum payment of 40 dollars per month, it would take me 83 months to pay it off. And that’s not even counting interest. Why would I want to do that, when I can send 58 dollars to Mike Murdock and get my debt removed in 58 days? Besides, neither Murdock nor the woman on the phone said there were any restrictions. Plus, I'm a full-time student, and I need to devote myself to my studies. But if the Lord leads me to get a job, I will. In the meantime, I’m doing this little experiment to see if the 58 day seed covenant really works.
